    "Tourism" confirms the mandatory registration in the monitoring platform and 100 thousand riyals delay fine​.

    The General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage affirmed the importance of the "national platform for tourism monitoring" and the need for tourist investors to participate in it, as this matter contains valuable results for the development of the tourism sector based on accurate and documented data and information ... noting that participation will be compulsory next Wednesday. (17 / December / 2019), and that a fine of up to 100,000 riyals in the event of failure to register or revoke the license or both, especially after giving investors sufficient time to register.

    This came during the workshop held by the authority at the headquarters of the Asharqia Chamber of Commerce yesterday, Sunday 15/12/2019 and moderated by the director-general of the authority’s branch in the eastern region, Engineer Abdullatif Al-Bunyan and in the presence of officials from the police, civil defense and the secretariat of the eastern region, during which both the head of the engineering unit of the authority / Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Safadi And the next director of institutional applications management from the authority / Al-Jawhara, and it was devoted to investors in the accommodation sector, as Al Bunyan indicated in the introduction to the workshop that the authority aspires to achieve more goals, most notably the development of the hotel industry, and this is only done on accurate scientific and information basis.

    For his part, Al-Safadi explained that the platform is an electronic integration mechanism, through which the tourism institutions are linked to the central memory to obtain them electronically, and used for research and statistical purposes that support the development of the tourism accommodation sector ... stressing that the information required is generally not exposed to any special information about establishments or about inmates And it is treated with the utmost privacy also in line with the goals of the authority that aims to develop tourism in general​

    Based on this, he said that the tourism monitoring platform is "an electronic platform that allows accommodation facilities to register and connect directly with the data center of the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage to flow data directly through the qualification of providers of resource management services for these facilities, and the data is processed and exported to measurement indicators and statistics on tourism In the Kingdom ".. explaining that this platform has been made, to organize the management of the association with tourist accommodation establishments and the General Authority for Courtyard and National Heritage, and to monitor and provide accurate and immediate information on the accommodation facilities in the Kingdom, and then raise the level of investment through the tourism and hospitality sector, And the development of services provided in the visitor hospitality sector, and the digital transformation of the tourism and hospitality sector​

    He stressed that the platform contributes to shortening the time to obtain any information about the tourism sector and the housing sector in particular​​ so that the authority gets the information without the need for additional work by the establishments.

    Al-Safadi pointed out that the deadline for registration and attachment was only a few days left, and any facility that did not commit to registration during this period would be subject to a violation of up to 100,000 riyals, or the withdrawal of the license or both together .. pointing out that the mandatory circular of registration was issued with a period of time Sufficient for installations.​

    He pointed out that access to the platform’s format was done through several stages, perhaps the most prominent of which is access to global electronic connectivity experiences, so the Singaporean experience was the best and most suitable for the situation in the Kingdom, as it depends on direct linking with workers in the tourism sector, without any material cost to the facilities, and I spoke The next jewel on the implementation mechanism, and access methods provided general guidelines for registration methods to ensure the integrity of the registration​.
